Job summary

VT Group (VTG) seeks a Cleared Telecommunications Infrastructure Technician to support Navy/NMCI network work across the National Capital Region, with up to 20% travel. The role is hands-on, focusing on copper and fiber cabling in IDF/MDF and other environments, including cabinet installations and basic power work.

You will install, terminate, label, test, and troubleshoot cabling, support patch panels and cabinets, use Fluke test equipment, and complete field updates and closeout documentation

Qualifications

• Must install, terminate, label, dress, test, and troubleshoot copper and fiber cabling.
• Install, terminate, label, dress, test, and troubleshoot copper and fiber cabling (repeated).
• Maintain clean, organized, and standards-based cabling work.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, label, dress, test, and troubleshoot copper and fiber cabling
• Install and support patch panels, wire managers, cable conveyance, and cabinets
• Perform authorized basic power work from existing panels to cabinets, including breaker and receptacle installation
• Install UPS units and PDUs in communications cabinets
• Use copper and fiber test equipment, such as Fluke or equivalent
• Travel up to 20% and support overtime as mission needs require
