Job summary
Valkyrie Enterprises Inc. is seeking a Telecommunication Technician for on-site work in Norfolk, VA (OCONUS). The role requires a Top Secret clearance and US citizenship.
Responsibilities include installing Telecommunication Structured Cabling Systems (fiber, copper, coax) and reading telecom blueprints. Travel both international and domestic is expected, with extensive field deployment. Qualifications include a high school diploma with 2 years of technical experience, cabling installation
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of technical experience.
- Experience installing Telecommunication Cabling Systems.
- Experience with telecom installations including telecom room build-out, fiber terminations, and copper terminations.
- Familiar with Fluke Versive Tester.
Responsibilities
- Install Telecommunication Structured Cabling Systems Fiber, Copper, Coax.
- Terminate cabling (CAT5e, CAT6, fiber) per EIA/TIA standards.
- Fusion splicing cartridges, pigtails and MPO connectors; read telecom blueprints.
- Read and interpret telecom blueprints; use Versive tester for verification.
