Job summary

Neenah Foundry Company is seeking a Cleaning Room General to support the finishing department. You will work with iron castings, inspecting each piece and removing excess metal using hand tools. The role is physical, with standing for long periods and exposure to loud, warm, and dirty environments.

Opportunity for cross training across production tasks. You will follow process sheets under a Team Lead, and be paid with shift premiums; base pay starts at $25.16/hour with additional premiums for

Job description

The Cleaning Room General role supports the finishing department. In this position, you will be working directly with iron castings. Castings enter the Cleaning Room on a conveyor. You and your team members – under the direction of a Team Lead - will inspect each casting and use hand-held tools to remove excess metal and then move the casting it to the appropriate conveyor or palette sometimes using a hoist or a winch. This is a physical position. You and your team members will be on your feet the entire shift, taking instruction and direction from a Team Lead. You will be working in a loud, warm, and dirty environment. You must be able to stand for extended periods of time, have good hand-eye coordination and possess the ability to multi-task. The position offers the opportunity for cross training and experience in a variety of tasks related to production.

Education/Experience Requirements:

Shifts:

• Must be available to work 10 hour shifts
• Must be available for overtime as production needs require
• Typical shift hours:
• 1 shift: 4:45 am – 3:00 pm

Pay rate:

• Base pay rate of $25.16, 2 shift premium: $1.50, 3 shift premium: $1.00
• Base rates increase $1.00/hour upon successful completion of probation (60 working days)
