Job summary

TempWorks Software Incorporated is seeking a Foundry Production Worker to join our dynamic manufacturing team in Montrose, Minnesota. In this role, you will operate equipment and assist in the assembly process, contributing to the production of high-quality metal castings.

Job description

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour

Job summary

Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Foundry Production Worker and be a vital part of creating high-quality metal castings. In this energetic role, you will operate various equipment, assist with the assembly process, and ensure smooth production flow within a fast‑paced foundry environment. Your mechanical aptitude and factory experience will contribute to maintaining safety standards and achieving production goals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in manufacturing while working in a collaborative team setting.

Essential functions
  • Operate various equipment, assist with assembly process, and ensure smooth production flow within a fast‑paced foundry environment.
  • Remove castings from molds using appropriate tools and machinery.
  • Perform finishing operations such as grinding, sanding, and polishing to meet product specifications.
  • Engage in manual tasks such as digging, lifting, carrying, and moving materials.
  • Operate tools or machinery involved in casting products, including furnaces, molds, and ladles.
  • Understand and proactively address quality issues as they arise.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.
Preferred experience
  • Previous experience with iron pouring (training will be provided).
  • Previous foundry & metal casting experience (training available).
  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Detail‑oriented, organized, and willing to work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Capability to work independently.
Functional requirements
  • Manually lift and move product and materials up to 55 lbs. through regular physical exertion, including but not limited to reach forward, reach overhead, lift, carry, crouch, and bend.
  • Power grip and wrist turn, including the use of hand tools and/or steering fork truck.
  • Walk, sit, or stand for up to 12 hours with intermittent breaks.
  • Push/pull up to 100 lbs.
  • See, inspect, handle, and evaluate product quality.
  • Read and understand written English language work instructions.
  • Work in non‑climate controlled environments, including hot and humid conditions.
  • Climb ladders and stairs of varying heights.
  • Wear task‑based Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hearing protection, protective eyewear, and gloves. Additional PPE may be required by specific tasks.
