Job summary

Diocese of Salisbury Academy Trust in Dorset is seeking a responsible cleaner to join our primary site team in Winterborne Whitechurch, 4:00pm–6:00pm, Monday to Friday term time, with 1 week during the summer break for a deep clean.

The role involves cleaning designated areas to a high standard, waste disposal, topping up consumables, moving furniture as needed, and reporting issues to the Premises Manager while ensuring doors and lights are secured.

Responsibilities

• clean designated areas, working to a time allocation, using mop, brush, duster, vacuum and polish to maintain high cleanliness and hygiene
• empty litter and waste, dispose of waste per school policies
• top up consumables and inform Office to reorder
• move furniture/equipment to enable cleaning of all areas
• inform Premises Manager of issues needing attention (light bulbs, blocked toilets)
• ensure doors and windows are secure and lights are off

Job description

We are looking for a responsible, reliable cleaner to be part of our team at our Primary site in Winterborne Whitechurch to work 4:00pm to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday term time (38 weeks/2 hrs per day/10 hrs per week), plus 1 week/10 hours during the summer break to assist with a whole school deep clean.

Role

The role involves carrying out essential cleaning and tidying tasks to ensure that the school is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness:

• clean designated areas, working to a time allocation, of the school using appropriate tools and materials including mop, brush, duster, vacuum and polish as required to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene is maintained
• empty litter, external and recycling bins and dispose of waste according to school policies on waste/recycling
• top up consumables as and when required and inform Office of the need to re-order
• move furniture and equipment if required for cleaning to enable cleaning to all areas
• inform the Premises Manager of matters that require attention/replacement i.e. light bulbs, blocked toilets etc
• ensure that doors and windows are secure and lights are turned off
