We help our clients capture energy-saving opportunities, optimize their energy systems and usage, and guide them in business decisions regarding their energy efficiency strategy and management. EMC Insights specializes in data-backed energy efficiency and decarbonization solutions and tailor-made programs.

What You Will Be Doing:

We are looking for a talented individual to join our team! EMC Insights seeks a proactive and self-motivated Clean Energy Project Coordinator (commercial and industrial programs) to join our expanding team in New Jersey. The successful candidate will be located in New Jersey or willing to relocate there within six months. As a Clean Energy Project Coordinator with EMC Insights, you will work in a dynamic environment contributing to utility-sponsored energy management programs.

As a Clean Energy Project Coordinator, you will work closely with Trade Allies (engineering firms and service companies performing retro-commissioning studies) to ensure that customers in the programs receive the support needed to move their projects toward completion. In this role, you will serve as the face of the program, developing strong relationships with both Trade Allies and customers, keeping projects on schedule, and maintaining program satisfaction for both the service providers and customers. In addition, you will manage and promote customer engagement with building owners and service providers, being an instrumental part of the delivery and success of the program.

Ideal Locations

  • Must be located in New Jersey, US - southern to central areas preferred
  • This is a remote (work-from-home) position with travel to customer sites

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate day-to-day aspects of C&I projects, including quality control of deliverables, client and Trade Ally communications, maintaining project schedules, and utilizing technical staff.
  • Promptly and accurately address customer concerns to assure problem resolution and promote long-term productive relationships.
  • Understand the organization and decision-making process to work with stakeholders in helping to determine project eligibility, schedule, and potential energy savings.
  • Manage on-time delivery of technical reports.
  • Commute to off-site locations to facilitate meetings with stakeholders.
  • Review technical reports, cost estimates, and energy saving calculations.
  • Perform on-demand tasks and fulfill ancillary duties and responsibilities as assigned.

What You Will Bring with You/Qualifications:

  • BA or BS degree is required, preferably in Engineering, Business Management, Construction Management (STEM) or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of project coordination experience (internships included) or similar within the energy efficiency industry.
  • Working knowledge and field knowledge of HVAC systems is a plus.
  • Experience in financial analysis of various energy projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully coordinate multiple projects and work with technical staff.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment with extensive contact with clients and engineers.
  • Ability to work autonomously and independently with little oversight.
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills with the ability to present energy efficiency data to a multi-layered audience.
  • Proficient in MS office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and the ability to learn and use other company software.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and the ability to travel locally up to 10% of the time.
  • Ability to be proactive, flexible, and thorough in individual as well as teamwork.
