Job summary

Deloitte is seeking an AI & Data Engineer II to design, develop, and deploy Generative AI and agentic solutions powered by Claude for diverse client engagements. You will work across proof-of-concept to production, collaborating with client stakeholders and internal teams to deliver scalable results.

You will lead small teams, ensure governance and responsible AI practices, and drive delivery milestones while maintaining clear communication with sponsors. Travel up to 50% may be required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years designing, developing, and delivering AI/ML solutions.
• 2+ years Python AI/ML applications.
• 1 year designing or implementing production agentic workflows (orchestration, tool integration, state management, guardrails, human-in-the-loop).
• ≥6 months Claude Agent SDK experience (orchestration, permissions, MCP integrations).
• ≥6 months deploying Anthropic Claude models via native API or cloud platform.
• ≥6 months prompt engineering, context engineering for AI solutions.
• 1+ years leading project workstreams.
• Bachelor's or Master's in CS/Engineering/Data Science/AI.
• Ability to travel up to 50% on average.
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Responsibilities

• Engage with client stakeholders as the primary technical contact for your workstream.
• Design and build Generative AI and agentic solutions using Claude, including orchestration and tool integrations.
• Deliver components from design through prototyping, testing, and production rollout.
• Lead small teams through requirements, design, process mapping, and support-model definition.
• Monitor progress, identify variances, and drive corrective action.
• Identify risks and mitigations early to protect delivery.
• Maintain clear communication with client stakeholders and engagement leadership.
