Job summary

NC State University seeks a UTS - Temporary Classroom Support Technician to assist faculty with classroom technologies, support live on-campus classes, and ensure materials are ready for both in-person and online instruction.

You will operate video conferencing and lecture capture tools, train users, and respond quickly to technical needs, traveling between campuses and providing on-site support during shifts.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate basic computer applications and assist faculty in classroom operations.
• Strong written and verbal communication with a service attitude.
• Ability to work independently and respond quickly to technical needs during live classes.

Responsibilities

• Assist/instruct faculty and personnel in basic operations of classroom technologies and equipment.
• Provide support for circulation of technology equipment.
• Travel between multiple buildings/classrooms across campuses.
• On-call to support classrooms during shifts.
• Perform routine cleaning of classrooms and assist with supplies.
• Assist with video conferencing as needed.
• Provide administrative and office support.
