Job summary

Mesa County Valley School District 51 is seeking a Paraprofessional, Classroom to support instruction and supervision in the Challenge Program. Under the Building Leader, you will assist with lesson delivery, prepare materials, and help maintain a positive learning environment.

The role includes behavior support, assessment activities, and participation in training. This is a 174-day schedule with 8-hour days and reports to the Building Leader.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Coursework or experience in education, child development preferred.
• Prior school district experience preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills required when assigned to bilingual programs.

Responsibilities

• 1) Instructional support to assist with delivering instruction and implementing lesson plans across core subjects.
• 2) Student supervision and behavior support in various school settings.
• 3) Clerical tasks such as copying, filing, attendance, and student records.
• 4) Assist with classroom and state testing logistics and data collection.
• 5) Attend required staff meetings, trainings, and school events.
• 6) Perform other duties as needed.
