Job summary

Mesa County Valley School District 51 in the United States is seeking a Paraprofessional for Preschool (Additional Support). Under supervision of the Principal and assigned Teacher, you will support the Early Childhood Education Program, reinforce core lessons, and help with social-emotional learning. This role involves classroom assistance, data collection, and collaboration with staff, students, and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum two years of experience working with pre-adolescent children.
• Preference for credit hours in early-childhood education, education, or healthcare and/or prior school district experience.
• Bilingual oral and written skills in English/Spanish are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in the assigned classroom and collect data for ECE records.
• Support the Preschool Teacher in preparing materials and maintaining classroom materials and documents.
• Assist with supervision of students in various settings including in-class and field activities.
• Deliver instruction and support core lessons, reinforcing the D51 Learning Model.
• Participate in staff meetings and in-service training; help with safety and classroom routine.
