Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree or 48 college hours or WorkKeys required for Title I schools.
• Two years of experience working with children preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) language skills required when assigned to a bilingual program.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support aligned with teacher-designed instruction.
• Support implementation of IEP goals under licensed staff.
• Adapt and prepare instructional materials for diverse needs.
• Support student engagement through prompting and scaffolding.
• Maintain structured, predictable learning routines and environments.
• Assist with assistive technology or adaptive equipment as trained.
• Monitor behavior and support safety plans and crisis plans under supervision.
• Reinforce positive behaviors and coping skills.
• Supervise students during transitions and ensure safety.
• Collect data on IEP goals and progress; maintain confidential documentation.
• Attend team meetings and collaborate with staff.
