Job summary

Granite School District is seeking a paraeducator to assist teachers and supervise students under the direction of the principal and teachers. The role includes lunch/recess duties and following assigned instructions.

Required education includes a high school diploma or equivalent, with Title 1 candidates able to use 48 college credits or pass the ParaPro exam. Must maintain confidentiality and work well in a team, with reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or equivalent alternative.
• If working in a Title 1 school, 48 hours of college credit or pass the ParaPro exam.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of instruction materials.
• Assist in instruction of students and classroom activities.
• Tutor students individually or in small groups.
• Assist in administering tests and monitor student progress.
• Maintain accurate data on assigned students or groups.
• Support a positive, confidential school environment.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff and administration.
• Collaborate with team to achieve tasks.
