Job summary

Granite School District is seeking a Self-Contained Paraeducator to support students in a Special Education setting. You will work under the supervising teacher to provide direct services, assist with instruction, and help students develop daily living skills.

This role is non-exempt, part-time (up to 29 hours per week) with emphasis on attendance, safety, and confidentiality. Prior work with students with disabilities is preferred, and a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• If working in a Title I school, 48 college credits or pass the ParaPro exam.
• Prior work with individuals with disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement teacher-designed drills and practice for groups or individuals.
• Maintain accurate data on student progress and groups.
• Supervise student activities in school and community settings.
• Provide personal care and assistance with self-help skills as needed.
• Use classroom materials and technology appropriately.
• Prepare instructional materials under teacher direction.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding student progress and needs.
