Responsibilities include implementing drills, data collection, supervision, personal care, and assisting students in regular classes under supervision. Requires a high school diploma and possible ParaPro or college credits.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow the directions outline by the classroom teacher and related staff for instructional practice and behavioral interventions.
• Skilled in the operation of specific achievement testing and data collection.
• Ability to effectively manage stress.

Responsibilities

• Implement drill and practice exercises designed by the teacher for groups or individuals.
• Keep accurate data on assigned groups and/or individual students; data collection as directed.
• Supervise and monitor student activities inside the school and in community settings.
• Provide personal maintenance care for students related to self-help and hygiene.
• Assist with behavior management according to district policies.
• Support a safe, positive learning environment and assist students in regular classes.
• Prepare and adapt instructional materials under the teacher's direction.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding student progress and limitations.
