Amethod Public Schools is seeking an Instructional Assistant to support students under a certified teacher's supervision. You will assist with daily classroom activities, help students, and contribute to their safety and well-being, promoting dignity in relationships.

Under the Principal's oversight, you will help implement lesson plans, monitor student progress, and participate in meetings and administrative tasks as needed.

Formación

• Work experience in a school setting with students.
• Must possess organization, communication and problem solving skills.
• Must pass a DOJ background check.
• Must be willing to create and follow through with individualized professional development plan.
• Ability to demonstrate skills in development of academic activities.
• Strong administrative and organizational skills.
• High level of communication skills, both written and oral.
• Strong initiative and ability to solve problems.

Responsabilidades

• Monitors individual and groups of students, classroom and/or playground activities for the purpose of providing a safe environment.
• Assists teachers and parents for the purpose of implementing lesson plans and general requirements of teaching, i.e. setting up schedules, meetings, etc., in both large and small group activities.
• Performs record keeping, i.e. recording test results, basic clerical functions, copying tests, handouts, etc.
• for the purpose of supporting the teacher in maintaining students' files and providing classroom materials.
• Maintains classroom equipment and supplies, etc. for the purpose of ensuring a safe and appropriate learning environment.
• Consults with teacher on a daily basis for current and future problems as well as alerting teacher to any problem or special information about students.
• Assists teacher in supervision of students during emergency drills, assemblies, play periods and field trips.
• Administers tests for the purpose of assisting teacher.
• Participates in various meetings for the purpose of receiving and/or providing information.
• Contacts parents if requested by the teacher or administrator.
