Job summary

Nimble is seeking an Instructional Assistant to collaborate with teachers and school staff to support student learning and engagement across the school day. Position Summary

The Instructional Assistant works collaboratively with teachers and school staff to support student learning, engagement, independence, and success throughout the school day. The individual in this position may provide support in whole-class, small-group, and individual settings and should be comfortable working with students who have a variety of academic, behavioral, developmental, and learning needs.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide instructional and classroom support to students individually, in small groups, and in whole-class settings.
• Assist teachers in implementing instructional activities, interventions, and classroom routines.
• Support students in developing academic, social, behavioral, and independence skills.
• Provide appropriate assistance to students who may require additional academic, behavioral, physical, or organizational support.
• Follow directions and instructional plans provided by classroom teachers and other school personnel.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, instructional assistants, related service providers, administrators, and other staff members.
• Help maintain a safe, positive, respectful, and supportive learning environment.
• Reinforce classroom expectations, school routines, and student behavior supports.
• Assist students with transitions, organization, classroom activities, and other daily routines as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding student information and school matters.
• Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to assist with a variety of duties and assignments throughout the school day.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the building administrator or supervising teacher.
