Job summary

Glen Ridge Board Of Education is seeking an instructional assistant to support certified staff and assist students in reading, math, and computer activities.

You will work with students in small groups or one-on-one, help with assignments, and help with record-keeping and classroom supervision. Prior experience with special needs is a plus. This role supports inclusion and safety in the classroom.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• College coursework or successful completion of NCLB exam may be required.
• Experience with special needs students is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist and guide students to reinforce reading, language arts, mathematics, computer instruction, and other skills.
• Work with students individually and in small groups to reinforce basic learning and programs.
• Assist professional staff with administration and correction of classroom exercises and assessments.
