Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's degree or passing score on Parapro Assessment.
  • ABA certification or prior ABA experience desirable.
  • Ability to lift and assist students.
  • Experience working with children with autism or related disabilities in school/clinical settings.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Classroom Paraeducator - SAILS Program
Location: Stratford High School
Hours: 32.5/week

Job Description:
The Classroom paraeducatorprovides individualized support to students under the direction of the special education teacher and tutor.The paraeducator assists in implementing behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and individualized education programs (IEPs) to support students' academic, social, and emotional growth.

Schedule and Salary:
This is a full-time, school-year position. Salary and benefits are in accordance with the Stratford Public Schools Paraeducator contract.
