Job summary

Fulton County Schools seeks a Paraprofessional to support teachers and students in classrooms and the media center. Responsibilities include assisting with materials, small group instruction, attendance, and displays, while adhering to school policies.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, pass the GACE para assessment or have equivalent higher education credits, and be prepared to obtain Georgia PSC Paraprofessional certification. 0–1 year experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must pass the GACE para assessment; in lieu of the GACE Assessment have 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours with a grade of C or better; or an Associate's Degree or higher from a GaPSC-accepted accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in preparing educational materials for students.
• Work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
• Assist with daily routines: distributing supplies, taking attendance, and grading quizzes as assigned.
• Participate in lunchroom, recess, hall-monitoring, and bus duties.
• Maintain orderly media center materials, displays, and learning centers.
