Job summary

Copperas Cove ISD is seeking an Instructional Aide to support teachers in classroom instruction and administrative tasks at Copperas Cove Junior High. Under direction from certified staff, you will assist with lesson prep, materials, and student activities.

The role emphasizes helping students with reading, writing, and math, supervising during meals and recess, and maintaining classroom organization. Experience with children is preferred and opportunities for professional growth exist.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support under teacher direction, work with individuals or small groups
• Assist in preparing instructional materials and displays
• Assist with administration and scoring of objective tests and assignments
• Maintain a neat and orderly classroom
• Help with inventory and maintenance of equipment
• Help keep administrative records and reports
• Provide orientation to substitute teachers
• Supervise students during lunch, bus, and playground
• Inform teachers of student needs or problems
• Participate in staff development and meetings
• Perform other duties as assigned
