Copperas Cove ISD is seeking an Inclusion Aide to support students with significant disabilities under the supervision of a certified special education teacher.

The role emphasizes implementing highly structured classroom programs, self-help, behavior management, and academic and functional instruction, with CPI techniques and picture communication system knowledge essential. Non-exempt, on-campus duties apply.

Qualifications

• Education/certification requirements include 48 college credits or an associate's degree or higher.
• Special knowledge includes assisting students with significant disabilities and using CPI techniques.
• Two years of experience working with children with disabilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uphold school rules and policies while supporting students throughout the day.
• Assist with physical needs, transfers, positioning, feeding, toileting, and personal hygiene as required.
• Support in implementing structured classroom programs and behavior management strategies.
• Assist in supervising students inside and outside the classroom, including lunchroom and bus duty.
• Prepare instructional materials and classroom displays under the supervision of a certified teacher.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information and participate in staff development.
