Job summary

The Hanover Community School Corporation seeks an Instructional Assistant at Lincoln Elementary School to support classroom staff and students throughout the day. You will assist with instructional activities, help individual students, and contribute to a calm, organized learning environment that fosters student growth.

The ideal candidate communicates well with children, demonstrates good character, and complies with the standards expected of school staff. Pay is $13.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Two years (approximately 60 hours) of study at an institution of higher education.
• Associates degree or higher.
• Must have met a rigorous standard of quality through a formal state academic assessment.
• Must have good moral character and ethical code.
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively with children.
• Demonstrate adequate verbal and written language skills and serve as a role model for adults and students.

Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of the classroom teacher.
• Work one on one with children in all subject areas.
• Assist with general classroom duties as assigned by classroom teacher.
• Other assigned duties.
