• Must also have good, moral character and ethical code.
• The ability to communicate effectively with children.
• Demonstrate adequate verbal and written language skills and serve as a role model for adults and students.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to students, staff and the Hanover Schools community.
• Work under the direction of the Principal in cooperation with classroom teachers.
• Work with small groups of students in instructional settings.
• Improve student academic achievement to meet state standards.
• Follow and implement weekly lesson plans based on intervention strategies.
• Maintain accurate intervention strategies record keeping forms.
• Perform other assigned duties.

Valid Indiana Teaching License (Preferred)

Reading Specialist License (Preferred)

Two years of higher education (60 hours)

Associates degree or higher
