Job summary

Hanover Public School District seeks a dedicated Teaching Assistant, Intensive Learning Support at Hanover High School for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time role provides academic support under a teacher's direction, promotes student well-being, and helps develop essential life skills.

Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic individual dedicated to helping students succeed! We have a full-time Intensive Learning Support Teaching Assistant position available at Hanover High School effective at the start of the 2026-2027 school year.

This position not only provides academic support to students under the direction of a teacher and assists in enhancing student well-being in the classroom and developing essential life skills, but also supports students during hands‑on activities within the community. Teaching Assistants also perform a variety of clerical support functions. This position is school‑year, Monday‑Friday, 7 hours per day. Pay rate is at least $14.06 per hour minimum. Offered rate is based on experience and internal equity.

Qualifications

• Must meet Highly Qualified Status with two years of post‑secondary education or high school diploma/equivalent and satisfactory completion of a Competency test, which can be taken after hire.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills
• Must be cooperative, congenial, and service‑oriented
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
• Ability to organize and handle multiple tasks
