Job summary

Union County Community Action, Inc. is seeking a dependable Classroom Aide to assist teachers in Head Start and Early Head Start classrooms in Hamlet, NC.

You will support daily activities, supervise children, help with classroom organization, and engage families as part of a collaborative education team. The starting rate is $14 per hour with a Monday–Friday schedule from 6:45am–2:45pm or 7:30am–3:30pm (40 hours/week).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• EDU 119 or CDA Credential preferred.
• Experience working with young children preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification required or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with classroom activities and supervision.
• Support children's developmental and educational needs.
• Help maintain classroom records and documentation.
• Assist with classroom organization and cleanliness.
• Supervise children during classroom and outdoor activities.
• Support family engagement and communication.
