Job summary

The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) is seeking a Classified IT Service Delivery & Operations Manager to coordinate delivery and performance of classified IT services supporting critical national security missions. You will lead multiple systems and teams to ensure cybersecurity standards and regulatory obligations are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, cybersecurity, CS, or related field.
• 8+ years in IT operations, service delivery, cybersecurity, or system administration, including classified environments.
• Experience applying RMF, NIST SP 800-53, JSIG, CNSSI 1253.
• Experience managing patching, vulnerability scanning, and POA&M.
• Experience leading activities in a matrixed environment with cross-functional teams.
• Experience developing metrics and driving service improvements.
• Active TS/SCI+poly clearance; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery and operations management of classified IT services across multiple systems and teams; manage dependencies and recurring activities like patching and audits.
• Analyze mission requirements and tailor service delivery with cyber, compliance, and system administration inputs.
• Lead cross-functional planning with ISSMs, ISSOs, System Administrators; balance priorities and resources.
• Evaluate performance, identify gaps and risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop metrics and reporting to assess reliability and cybersecurity operations; communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Create operational plans and commitments aligned with mission requirements and technical processes.
• Improve workflows using ServiceNow, Jira, and similar platforms for visibility and accountability.
