Chicago Public Schools (CPS) seeks a Class Size Teacher to provide instructional planning, assessment, and classroom management in Priority Schools. Under the principal’s supervision, you will implement effective teaching practices and engage with families to support student success.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of student teaching requirements and coursework required to obtain the Illinois teaching certificate.
• Valid Illinois teaching license such as PEL or ELS.

Responsibilities

• Develop lesson plans and maintain student progress records.
• Apply current teaching methods and materials in instruction.
• Assess student progress and maintain attendance records.
• Maintain classroom discipline and follow district policies.
• Communicate with parents about student progress and behavior.
• Attend in-service and staff meetings; may coordinate field trips.
