5 Star Electric, LLC (5 Star) is a premier full-service provider of electrical construction, maintenance, and repair services with a focus on Western Kentucky. We are seeking a Class B Lineman to join our on-site crew in Western KY & Louisville, KY.

The role requires CDL, OSHA 10, 2-3 years of experience, strong pole-climbing ability, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather. Candidates must pass background checks and be willing to travel and be on-call as needed.

Qualifications

• Two to three years of experience in electrical line work or equivalent hours.
• Must be able to climb poles and work in diverse weather conditions.
• Must possess a valid driver license and ability to obtain State CDL.
• Pass criminal and MVR background checks and a pre-employment drug screen.
• Completion of OSHA 10-hour Safety Training within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Thorough knowledge of methods, practices and equipment of electrical line work.
• Climb poles and perform strenuous duties in various weather conditions.
• Operate service truck and related equipment safely.
• Read and record data from meter dials accurately.
• Follow oral and written instructions and communicate clearly.
• Respond to work orders for disconnections, reconnections, and new service.
• Dig holes, set poles, string wire, and connect transformers.
• Maintain tools and equipment; stay on-call after hours.
