Job summary

The Lineman – B Class role involves working energized and de-energized lines, digging, pole setting, wire stringing, and installing distribution equipment while upholding strict safety standards.

We require 2–3 years of experience, a valid Class A CDL with medical card, and passing background checks and a drug screen.

Qualifications

• Two to three years of experience or equivalent hours.
• OSHA 10hr Safety Training within 60 days.
• Possession of or ability to obtain a valid State Driver License.
• Valid Class A CDL and current medical examiner card.
• Background checks and pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Thorough knowledge of methods, practices and equipment of electrical line work.
• Follow safety precautions for electrical work.
• Climb poles and perform strenuous duties in various weather conditions.
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Operate listed tools and equipment.
• Read and record data from meter dials.
• Work outdoors in diverse terrain and weather.
• Digs holes and sets poles for electrical lines.
• String wire on construction or repairs.
• Set and connect transformers and distribution equipment.
• Maintain safety for self and crew.
• Stand on-call after hours as needed.
• Report accidents and safety hazards to foreman.
