Job summary

AWG - American Welding and Gas is seeking a Class B CDL Delivery Driver for Sulphur, LA. You will load, deliver, and unload cylinders and other supplies, ensuring accurate paperwork and safe handling per DOT and OSHA rules.

Requirements include a High School diploma, Class B CDL with Hazmat and Airbrake endorsements or ability to obtain them, English literacy, and physical ability to move 50–75 pound items and 100+ pound cylinders. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Class B CDL with Hazmat and Airbrake endorsements or ability to obtain both endorsements.
• Able to read and write English.
• Able to move and lift heavy cylinders (50–75 pounds frequently; 100+ pounds with assistive methods).
• Pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, background check and road test as required.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move, and store gas and liquid cylinders and other supplies.
• Make deliveries to customers or other branches and ensure complete, accurate delivery tickets.
• Follow SOPs and comply with DOT+OSHA regulations.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and assist with paperwork.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

American Welding & Gas Inc,has an immediate opening for aClass B CDL Delivery Driver in Sulphur, LA. This position requires a Class B CDL with HazMat & Airbrake endorsements.

Duties:This position has the responsibility of loading, unloading, moving and storage of gas and liquid cylinders and other hard good supplies; making deliveries to customers or other branches and filling out delivery tickets completely and accurately.

• Read, understand and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
• Comply with all DOT+OSHA Regulations
• Moves, loads, and unloads empty/full cylinders safely and efficiently
• Ensures appropriate preparation and/or completion and accuracy of paperwork including but not limited to shipping papers and delivery tickets
• Maintains cleanliness of vehicle
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Class B CDL Required with Hazmat and Airbrake endorsement or the ability to obtain both endorsements
• Able to read and write English
• Able to move compressed gas and liquid cylinders; Lift 50-75 pounds frequently and maneuver 100+ pound cylinders (rolling, using a cart, etc.)
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, Back Ground Assessment and company administered road test
• Ability to communicate with customers.
