American Welding & Gas is seeking a Class B CDL Delivery Driver in Springfield, MO. The role requires HazMat and Air Brakes endorsements and involves overnight travel four days per week with hotel and meal coverage.

You will load, unload, and deliver gas and cylinder products, complete delivery tickets, and comply with DOT/OSHA rules. Responsibilities include safe handling of cylinders, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, and accurate paperwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Class B CDL with HazMat and Airbrakes endorsements are required.
• Clean driving record for 3+ years.
• Ability to read and write English clearly.
• DOT pre-employment drug screen, physical, and road test required.
• Ability to move compressed gas and liquid cylinders.

Responsibilities

• Use company vehicle to deliver products and equipment to customers in a safe and courteous manner.
• Pick up returns at customer place of business.
• Read and follow all SOPs.
• Comply with DOT and OSHA regulations.
• Move and handle gas/liquid cylinders safely and efficiently.
• Complete shipping papers and delivery tickets accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

American Welding & Gas has an immediate opening for a Class B CDL Delivery Driver in Springfield, MO. This position requires a Class B CDL with HazMat & Air Brakes endorsements.

• This position requires you to travel overnight four days per week, Monday through Thursday. The company will cover all hotel accommodations and meals while you are traveling. ***

This position is responsible for loading, unloading, moving and storing of gas and liquid cylinders and other hard good supplies; making deliveries to customers or other branches and filling out delivery tickets completely and accurately.

Delivery Driver - Class B Duties

• Use company vehicle to deliver products and equipment to customers in a safe and courteous manner
• Pick up returns at customer place of business
• Read, understand and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
• Comply with all DOT+OSHA Regulations
• Moves, loads, and unloads empty/full cylinders safely and efficiently
• Ensures appropriate preparation and/or completion and accuracy of paperwork including but not limited to shipping papers and delivery tickets
• Maintains cleanliness of vehicle
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Class B CDL with HAZMAT & Airbrakes endorsement
• Clean driving record 3+ years
• Able to read and write English
• Successful completion of DOT pre-employment drug-screen and physical, and company administered road test
• Able to move compressed gas and and liquid cylinders
• Lift 50-75 pounds frequently and maneuver 100+ pound cylinders (rolling, using a cart, etc.)
• Must be comfortable using computers
• Ability to communicate with customer
