Job summary

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.

• Clean driving record.

• Physical ability to lift 50-75 pounds and move 100+ pound cylinders.
• Pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical required.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move and store gas and cylinder products and deliver to customers and branches.
• Comply with SOPs and DOT/OSHA regulations.
• Document paperwork accurately (shipping papers, delivery tickets).
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

American Welding and Gas, Inc. ("AWG") has an immediate opportunity for Class B CDL Delivery Driver in Springfield, MO. This position requires a Class B CDL with Air Brakes & HazMat endorsements.

Duties

• This position has the responsibility of loading, unloading, moving and storage of gas and liquid cylinders and other hard good supplies; making deliveries to customers or other branches and filling out delivery tickets completely and accurately.
• Read, understand and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
• Comply with all DOT+OSHA Regulations
• Moves, loads, and unloads empty/full cylinders safely and efficiently
• Ensures appropriate preparation and/or completion and accuracy of paperwork including but not limited to shipping papers and delivery tickets
• Maintains cleanliness of vehicle
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Class B CDL Required with Hazmat and Airbrake endorsement or the ability to obtain both endorsements
• Clean driving record
• Able to read and write English
• Able to move compressed gas and liquid cylinders; Lift 50-75 pounds frequently and maneuver 100+ pound cylinders (rolling, using a cart, etc.)
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, Back Assessment and company administered road test
• Ability to communicate with customers
• Drug Free work environment.
