Job summary

American Welding & Gas Inc. is seeking an immediate Class B CDL Delivery Driver to operate in Sulphur, LA.

The role involves loading, unloading, and delivering gas and liquid cylinders to customers and branches, keeping delivery tickets accurate and following SOPs and DOT/OSHA regulations. Qualified candidates hold a Class B CDL with HazMat and Airbrake endorsements (or ability to obtain both), possess a clean driving record, and can read and write English.

Qualifications

• Read, understand and follow SOPs

Job description

American Welding & Gas Inc, has an immediate opening for a Class B CDL Delivery Driver in Sulphur, LA. This position requires a Class B CDL with HazMat & Airbrake endorsements.

Duties:

This position has the responsibility of loading, unloading, moving and storage of gas and liquid cylinders and other hard good supplies; making deliveries to customers or other branches and filling out delivery tickets completely and accurately.

• Read, understand and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
• Comply with all DOT+OSHA Regulations.
• Moves, loads, and unloads empty/full cylinders safely and efficiently.
• Ensures appropriate preparation and/or completion and accuracy of paperwork including but not limited to shipping papers and delivery tickets.
• Maintains cleanliness of vehicle.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Class B CDL Required with Hazmat and Airbrake endorsement or the ability to obtain both endorsements.
• Clean driving record.
• Able to read and write English.
• Able to move compressed gas and liquid cylinders; Lift 50-75 pounds frequently and maneuver 100+ pound cylinders (rolling, using a cart, etc.).
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, Back Ground Assessment and company administered road test.
• Ability to communicate with customers.
