Job summary

California Sierra Express is seeking a Class A linehaul driver for a nightly graveyard shift (8PM–6AM, home daily). The role requires an NV driver’s license, CDL, and at least two years of experience, including weather-related chaining.

You will handle up to 53-foot tractors for drop-and-hook deliveries, maintain ELDs and daily logs, and comply with FMCSA/DOT/TSA regulations. We operate multiple terminals and provide benefits, local routes, paid training, and 401K options.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid NV driver’s license.
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
• Minimum two years of commercial driving experience.
• Experience chaining up in adverse weather conditions.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Operate up to a 53-foot tractor trailer for linehaul drop-and-hook deliveries.
• Maintain ELDs, daily manifests, and incident reports.
• Adhere to FMCSA/DOT/TSA regulations and safety policies.
• Ensure compliance with TSA security and OSHA safe-work practices.
• Complete assigned routes within time windows; shift is graveyard 8PM–6AM.

Job Summary:This Class A position is a Graveyard Shift from 8PM to 6AM (home daily). The exact start and end time of each shift can vary somewhat depending on operational needs and weather.Two Important Notes:You must have a NV driver's license to be hired for this position.You must have experience chaining up during weather events.The Class A (linehaul) Driver supports the Operations Manager and department in the performance of nightly activities which includes, but are not limited to, operating up to a 53-foot tractor trailer to perform drop and hook deliveries of freight in a time-sensitive and professional manner.The Class A Driver maintains accurate, up-to-date records such as, but not limited to, Electronic Logging Device (ELD), Vehicle Inspection Reports, daily manifests, and incident reporting.The Class A Driver adheres to laws and regulations governed by regulatory agencies such as, but not limited to, The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), Department of Transportation (DOT), and Transportation Safety Administration (TSA). This is a safety sensitive position and falls under federal drug and alcohol regulations.California Sierra Express has been serving the air freight logistics industry for over 35 years. We operate six freight terminals in CA and one in Reno, NV.
