California Sierra Express Inc. in West Sacramento, CA is seeking a Class A Driver for a dedicated Sacramento–Reno night run. You will drop and swap preloaded trailers and meet tight delivery windows.

This safety‑sensitive role requires a CDL, at least two years of experience, clean DMV record, ELD compliance, and familiarity with FMCSA/DOT/TSA regulations; Hazmat preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
• Minimum of two years commercial driving experience.
• Clean DMV record with no serious moving violations in past 5 years.
• DOT Medical Card required.

Responsibilities

• Operate up to 53-foot tractor trailer for linehaul deliveries.
• Complete assigned line haul route Sacramento–Reno–Sacramento on a nightly schedule.
• Maintain ELDs, daily manifests, and incident reports.
• Follow FMCSA, DOT, TSA, OSHA regulations and company safety policies.

Drop and swap preloaded trailers.The Class A (linehaul) Driver supports the Operations Manager and department in the performance of nightly activities which includes, but are not limited to, operating up to a 53-foot tractor trailer to perform drop and hook deliveries of freight in a time-sensitive and professional manner.The Class A Driver maintains accurate, up-to-date records such as, but not limited to, Electronic Logging Device (ELD), Vehicle Inspection Reports, daily manifests, and incident reporting.The Class A Driver adheres to laws and regulations governed by regulatory agencies such as, but not limited to, The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), Department of Transportation (DOT), and Transportation Safety Administration (TSA). This is a safety sensitive position and falls under federal drug and alcohol regulations.California Sierra Express has been serving the air freight logistics industry for over 35 years. Route duration can vary day to day and may require 10-12 hours to complete.Practice defensive driving principles and follow all company safety policies.Comply with all laws and regulations relating to driving, transporting and handling of freight including those issued by but limited to The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), Department of Transportation (DOT).Comply with truck and cargo security requirements as outlined by the Transportation Safety Administration (TSA).Comply with safe work practices as required by the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA)Comply with federal drug and alcohol regulations.Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).Must be at least 23 years of age.Minimum of two (2) years commercial driving experience.Clean DMV record (no serious moving violations in the past 5 years)Valid DOT Medical Examination Card.Ability to successfully pass a drug screen and TSA background check.Knowledge of DOT, FMSCA, federal, state, and local traffic laws and regulations.Hazardous materials (HAZMAT) certification, preferred.Experience driving in adverse weather conditions, mountains, and chaining installation.Ability to effectively communicate in English; verbally and in writing.
