Job summary

California Sierra Express is hiring a Class A driver for a graveyard shift in Reno, NV. The role involves operating up to a 53-foot tractor trailer for drop and hook freight, nightly duties, and maintaining ELD records. A valid CDL, minimum two years’ experience, and a clean DMV record are required.

This full-time position offers home daily routes, a benefits package, and compliance with FMCSA/DOT/TSA rules. Night work from 8 PM to 6 AM, weather-related chaining experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Must be at least 23 years old.
• Minimum of two years commercial driving experience.
• Clean DMV record with no serious violations in 5 years.
• Valid DOT Medical Card.
• Ability to pass drug screen and TSA background check.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned line haul route in a timely manner; may require 10–12 hours per day.
• Operate up to a 53-foot tractor trailer for drop and hook deliveries.
• Maintain accurate logs, daily manifests, and safety reports.
• Comply with FMCSA, DOT, TSA, OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
