Job summary

PFG Customized Distribution is hiring a Driver, Dedicated Backhaul to support the food distribution network. You will operate tractor-trailer, day cab/sleeper, and straight trucks on local and interstate routes, ensuring on-time loading and safe delivery of foods and related products.

Role requires DOT compliance and strong customer interaction. Schedule is a 4-day work week, Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday with 3–5 pm dispatch.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• 6 months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• Attains or has valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.

Responsibilities

• Drive to assigned supplier/vendor and/or PFG warehouse locations according to a predetermined route and delivery schedule.
• Delivers assigned loads back to PFG warehouse locations for receiving into inventory.
• Performs appropriate load and paperwork inspections including product counts and invoices.
• Check and complete required paperwork for backhaul operations.
• Routinely check in with direct supervisor to confirm route, load, and schedule.
• Advise supervisor of load drop-off/pick-up issues and schedule changes.
