We are looking to hire an experienced CDL Class A or B driver for our 2nd shift. The driver will prepare and transport raw materials and finished goods between the main plant and the fulfillment warehouse. This is a full-time, Monday - Friday position, driving locally and home every night.

Duties Include

• Operate company-owned and/or leased trucks to facilitate shipping and receiving operations.
• Load trucks with raw product at the fulfillment warehouse to transport to the main plant.
• Assist in preparing finished products to be shipped by banding, wrapping, and loading into trucks using a forklift.
• Load trucks with finished products at the main plant to transport to the fulfillment warehouse.
• Ensure shipping documents and checklists are completed, matching customer requirements and sent to the fulfillment warehouse shipping department in a timely manner.
• Ensure every load being transported is secure.
• Unload trucks when needed at the main plant, fulfillment warehouse, or at customers’ locations.

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Class A/CDL license with Air Brake Endorsement or Valid Class B license.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission.
• Medical card.
• One or more years of experience as a truck driver.
• Ability to understand vehicle maintenance and operation.
• Ability to read and understand maps and written instructions, including dimensions and quantities.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work overtime and other shifts as required.
• Prompt and reliable attendance.

Desired Skills And Abilities

• Forklift certification.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Physical Requirements

Work is performed in a factory environment with exposure to dust, dirt, noise, machinery hazards, fumes, oils, lubricants, and chemicals.

• Safety toe shoes are required (company reimbursement available).
• Walking: Must be able to walk with ease.
• Standing: Must be able to stand on concrete floors for varying times.
• Lifting: Capable of lifting up to 60 pounds regularly.
• Stooping/Bending: Capable of bending and flexing knees to handle materials.
• Reaching: Able to reach outward and upward/downward from 6” to 56” height.
• Sitting: Required for forklift and truck operation.
• Climbing: Ability to climb on/off forklifts and trucks.
• Grasping: Able to grasp controls.
• Use of hand pallet jacks and forklifts.
