Job summary

Sharps Medical Waste Services, based in Texas, seeks a Class A CDL Long-Haul Driver to service LQ/SQ accounts and transport medical waste safely and compliantly. You will manage routes, maintain records, and coordinate with dispatchers to resolve issues.

Expect 1–2 overnight trips per week, with potential immunization needs and paid training plus benefits after probation. Role requires strong customer service, safety awareness, and familiarity with DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• Must have strong customer service skills while handling sensitive medical waste logistics.
• Excellent communication with supervisors and dispatchers is required.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine preventative maintenance across assigned facilities.
• Pick up and transport regulated medical waste safely according to regulations.
• Manage assigned LQ and SQ routes, ensuring timely and accurate service.
• Review and plan daily schedules using manifests and route sheets.
• Ensure waste is properly packaged and ready for transport.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and communicate issues promptly.
• Complete paperwork, route documentation, and DOT logs.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues.
