Job summary

Sharps Medical Waste Services seeks an experienced Class A Long-Haul Driver to service LQ and SQ accounts, ensuring compliant transport of medical waste with top-tier customer service. The role supports same-day servicing with no sleepover routes and includes paid training, uniforms, health benefits, tuition reimbursement, PTO after 90 days, and a Stay-On bonus.

Responsibilities include route planning, regulatory compliance, accurate documentation, and proactive communication with dispatch.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL required.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine scheduled preventative maintenance across assigned facilities.
• Pick up and transport regulated medical waste safely according to all federal, state, and local regulations.
• Manage assigned LQ and SQ customer routes, ensuring timely and accurate service.
• Review and plan daily schedules using manifests, route sheets, and other documentation.
• Ensure customers’ waste is properly packaged and ready for transport.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, communicating issues to supervisors or dispatchers.
• Complete all required paperwork, including route documentation and DOT Driver Logs.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance issues promptly.
• Communicate route changes, discrepancies, or non-routine situations to ensure smooth coverage.
• Operate Dry Van 53’ trailers, Jockey and Roll-Off trucks, Manual Transmission, and Reefer trailers.
• Utilize ELD systems for accurate reporting and compliance.
• Other duties as needed.
