Job summary

Sharps Medical Waste Services is seeking a Class A Long-Haul Driver to service Large and Small Quantity accounts. You will transport medical waste safely, maintain accurate records, and provide excellent customer service across routes.

Training is paid, uniforms are provided, and benefits, tuition reimbursement, and a Stay-On bonus support growth in this essential industry. This role requires valid DOT Medical Card, at least 2 years of tractor-trailer experience, and the ability to pass

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to solve problems and adapt to changing routes.
• Physical ability to lift and move loads up to 300 pounds with equipment.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine and preventative maintenance across assigned facilities.
• Pick up and transport regulated medical waste safely per regulations.
• Manage assigned LQ/SQ routes with timely, accurate service.
• Review daily schedules using manifests and route sheets.
• Ensure waste is properly packaged for transport and communicate issues promptly.
• Complete required paperwork including DOT logs and route documents.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs.
