The Salvation Army is hiring a Production Assistant 2 in San Jose, CA. This full-time role requires a valid Class A driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to operate route-management electronics. Duties include routing, loading/unloading, supervising a truck helper, and ensuring safety and compliance with DOT regulations.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Clean driving record.
• Strong time management and customer service skills.
• Ability to operate electronic equipment used for daily route information.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Follow daily routing directions and avoid going off route, unless instructed.
• Manage time to complete routes within the schedule.
• Load and unload the truck safely; assist other trucks as needed.
• Handle donated material with safe procedures and PPE.
• Train and supervise truck helper in their rehabilitation program.
• Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain a safe driving record.
• Report accidents, incidents, and safety violations to supervisor.
• Maintain meal/rest breaks per state law and company policy.
