Job summary

Mead Lumber Company in Manhattan, KS is seeking a Class A Driver to safely deliver building materials to customer job sites. You will operate company trucks, assist with loading, verify orders, and provide exceptional customer service while adhering to DOT regulations.

The role requires a valid Class A license and the ability to lift up to 70 pounds. We offer ESOP participation and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Class A driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Proficiency in using a computer and calculator.
• Ability to stand and walk for 4 to 10 hours daily.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds.
• Ability to stoop, kneel, and crouch as needed.

Responsibilities

• Learn company products, procedures, culture, and customer service philosophy.
• Provide excellent customer service at all times.
• Load trucks according to the sales invoice and materials list.
• Organize and secure loads for safe transport.
• Verify load accuracy with yard manager before departure.
• Deliver and unload materials at customer job sites with care.
