Mead Lumber Company is seeking a reliable Class A Driver to safely and efficiently deliver building materials to customer job sites in Shawnee, KS. You will operate company vehicles, load/unload materials, ensure accurate deliveries, and provide excellent service while following DOT and company safety rules.

Position requires valid Class A license, ability to lift up to 70 lbs, and versatility to work in all weather. We offer ESOP and comprehensive benefits to employees.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class A driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Proficiency in using a computer and calculator.
• Ability to stand and walk for 4 to 10 hours daily.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds.
• Must be able to work in ALL weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Learn and understand company products, procedures, culture, and customer service philosophy.
• Provide excellent customer service to all clients.
• Load trucks according to the sales invoice and list of materials.
• Organize and secure loads to ensure safe and efficient transport.
• Deliver and unload materials at customer job sites, ensuring satisfaction.
• Follow delivery instructions and ensure timely deliveries.
• Perform vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation.
• Address and resolve customer complaints professionally and promptly.
