Job summary

Bunzl Distribution NA is hiring a Driver to operate a Class A tractor-trailer on daily Sunday-Thursday routes in Kernersville, NC. Earn a $2,000 sign-on bonus and enjoy competitive pay with benefits.

You will perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections, maintain logs, and deliver goods safely to customer sites. The role requires a valid Class A CDL, HAZMAT endorsement, clean driving record, and ability to pass background checks and medical requirements.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with HAZMAT endorsement.
• Clean driving record per fleet safety standards.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug tests.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and load/unload cargo.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive Class A tractor-trailer or other vehicles.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Deliver goods to customer locations, local and long-distance.
• Adhere to traffic laws, safety regulations and policies.
• Maintain logs and paperwork, with timely submissions.
• Manage cargo loading/unloading and ensure secure stowage.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Report vehicle issues to management promptly.
• Daily drop-and-hook routes to customer distribution centers.

Home Daily | Sunday-Thursday | $26/hr minimum | 6pm Start | Drop and Hook Routes

A Day in the Life

• Safely drive and operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Deliver goods in a timely and safe manner to customer locations, both local and long-distance.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean driving record and ensure timely submission of logs and paperwork.
• Manage cargo loading/unloading, ensuring items are safely secured.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Ensure the vehicle is properly maintained, reporting any issues to management immediately.
• Daily drop-and-hook routes to customer distribution centers

The Must-Haves

• Valid Class A CDL.
• HAZMAT Endorsement
• A clean driving record, based on our fleet safety standards.
• Ability to operate and navigate a variety of commercial vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and handle loading/unloading responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and best driving practices.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to pass background check, drug tests, and maintain an active medical card.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance

Preferred Requirements

• At least 2 years of Driving experience.
• Experience with GPS and routing software.
