Bunzl North America is hiring drivers in Ohio to safely operate Class A tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles. The role includes pre-trip inspections, timely local and long-distance deliveries, and strict adherence to safety and DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Deliver goods in a timely and safe manner to customer locations, both local and long-distance.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean driving record and ensure timely submission of logs and paperwork.
• Manage cargo loading/unloading, ensuring items are safely secured.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Ensure the vehicle is properly maintained, reporting any issues to management immediately.

Start Time 4am | $30.50/hr

A Day in the Life

• Safely drive and operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Deliver goods in a timely and safe manner to customer locations, both local and long-distance.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean driving record and ensure timely submission of logs and paperwork.
• Manage cargo loading/unloading, ensuring items are safely secured.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Ensure the vehicle is properly maintained, reporting any issues to management immediately.

The Must-Haves

• Valid Class A CDL.
• A clean driving record, based on our fleet safety standards.
• Ability to operate and navigate a variety of commercial vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and handle loading/unloading responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and best driving practices.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to pass background check, drug tests, and maintain an active medical card.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance.

Preferred Requirements

• At least 2 years of Driving experience.
• Experience with GPS and routing software.

Competitive pay | $59,280-$70,400 based on hourly rate plus over-time as applicable.

Pay Transparency Statement:

This role is paid on an hourly basis. The minimum of the posted range reflects the base hourly rate annualized over a standard 40-hour workweek (2,080 hours). The upper end of the range reflects potential total annualized earnings, which may include overtime based on workload, business needs, and individual availability. Actual compensation is paid hourly and may vary.
