Job summary

Bunzl plc is seeking a Class A CDL driver for home daily routes in North Carolina. The role starts at 6pm with Sunday-Thursday shifts and includes a $2,000 sign-on bonus. You will safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer, perform inspections, and deliver to customer locations locally and long-distance.

Requirements include a valid Class A CDL, Hazmat endorsement, clean driving record, and ability to lift up to 30 pounds. DOT/E CDL compliance and strong customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Hazmat Endorsement.
• A clean driving record, based on fleet safety standards.
• Ability to operate and navigate a variety of commercial vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and handle loading/unloading responsibilities.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Deliver goods to customer locations on time and safely.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean driving record and ensure timely submission of logs and paperwork.
• Manage cargo loading/unloading and secure cargo.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Ensure the vehicle is properly maintained and report issues to management.
• Daily drop-and-hook routes to customer distribution centers.

A Day in the Life

• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Ensure the vehicle is properly maintained, reporting any issues to management immediately.
• Daily drop-and-hook routes to customer distribution centers

The Must-Haves

• Valid Class A CDL.
• HAZMAT Endorsement
• A clean driving record, based on our fleet safety standards.
• Ability to operate and navigate a variety of commercial vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and handle loading/unloading responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and best driving practices.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to pass background check, drug tests, and maintain an active medical card.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance

Preferred Requirements

• At least 2 years of Driving experience.
• Experience with GPS and routing software.
