Job summary

Daniels Health in Houston, TX is seeking an enthusiastic driver with a Class A license to service our healthcare customers across the Houston plant. You will collect sharps and medical waste containers and deliver a high level of customer service daily.

The role involves operating a straight truck/53 ft trailer, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, complying with DOT regulations, and lifting up to 50 lbs with occasional pushing/pulling of up to 200 lbs.

Qualifications

• Class A license with a clean driving record and valid DOT medical card.
• Minimum 3 years experience operating straight truck/tractor trailer up to 53ft.
• Passing the 7 Year FADV review in the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations.
• Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours and roadside inspections.
• Touch freight experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate straight truck/tractor trailer up to 53 ft safely.
• Collect, deliver and store medical waste containers at customer locations.
• Provide strong customer service and build relationships.
• Deliver on time and communicate changes.
• Load and unload and organize the truck per schedule needs.
• Comply with DOT regulations, logging hours and roadside inspections.
• Lift up to 50 lbs consistently.
• Push/pull a cart weighing up to 200 lbs.

What will your job involve?

• Operating straight truck/tractor trailer up to 53ft in a safe manner
• Safely collect, deliver and store our medical waste containers at customer locations
• Providing strong customer service and building positive customer relationships
• Completing deliveries to time schedule and clearly communicating changes
• Loading and unloading and organizing your truck per schedule needs
• Complying with DOT regulations, logging hours and roadside inspections
• Consistently lifting up to 50lbs!!
• Pushing/pulling a four-wheeled cart that weighs as much as 200lbs!!

What are we looking for?

• Class A license with a clean driving record and VALID DOT MEDICAL CARD
• Minimum 3 years experience operating straight truck/tractor trailer up to 53ft
• Passing our 7 Year FADV review in the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations
• Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections
• Can-do attitude with a strong customer focus
• Proven longevity in past employment
• TOUCH FREIGHT EXPERIENCE!!!
