Job summary

Daniels Health & Sharpsmart is seeking a driver with a Class A license to service Arlington, TX, performing medical waste collection and delivery with a focus on safety and customer care. You will operate up to 53-foot trailers and 26-foot trucks, handling pickups and deliveries across healthcare locations.

Ideal candidates have a clean driving record, a valid DOT medical card, and at least 3 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Class A license with a clean driving record and valid DOT medical card.
• Minimum 3 years' experience operating 26-foot trucks and trailers up to 53 feet.
• Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, and roadside inspections.
• Touch freight experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate 26-foot straight trucks and up to 53-foot trailers safely.
• Collect, deliver and store medical waste containers at customer locations.
• Provide strong customer service and build positive customer relationships.
• Complete deliveries on schedule and communicate changes clearly.
• Load and unload and organize the truck per schedule.
• Comply with DOT regulations, logging hours, and roadside inspections.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer focused driver with a Class A license and experience driving large trucks to utilize your experience across the Arlington, TX area. You will be collecting sharps and medical waste containers from our healthcare customer locations and delivering a high level of customer service daily.

What will your job involve?

• Operating 26 foot straight trucks AND tractor trailers as large as 53 foot in a safe manner
• Safely collect, deliver and store our medical waste containers at customer locations
• Providing strong customer service and building positive customer relationships
• Completing deliveries to time schedule and clearly communicating changes
• Loading and unloading and organizing your truck per schedule needs
• Complying with DOT regulations, logging hours and roadside inspections
• Pushing/pulling a four-wheeled cart that weighs as much as 200lbs!!

What are we looking for?

• Class A license with a clean driving record and VALID DOT MEDICAL CARD
• Minimum 3 years experience operating 26 foot trucks and trailers up to 53 foot
• Passing our 7 Year FADV review in the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations
• Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections
• Can-do attitude with a strong customer focus
• Proven longevity in past employment
• TOUCH FREIGHT EXPERIENCE!!!
