Charlie's Produce is hiring Class A drivers to deliver fresh produce to customers across Portland Metro. You will drive throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington, with a schedule that starts late night to early morning hours.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL, 23+ years old for insurance, and a year of verifiable driving experience. Expect safety checks, customer service, and potential wage growth after 90 days.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience for insurance purposes.
• Must be 23 years of age or older for insurance purposes.
• Valid Class A CDL and medical card.
• Interstate qualification, registered.
• DOT-driven eligibility; basic reading of English.

Responsibilities

• Deliver produce to customers in the Portland Metro area.
• Check invoices during deliveries.
• Load/unload with pallet jack and ensure safe handling.
• Provide excellent customer service at delivery points.
• Assist in any billing or COD-related tasks as needed.
• Maintain clean, safe, and well-maintained equipment.

Compensation Details:

• $30.00/hour.
• Potential 90-day performance-based increase.
• Annual review with possibility of increase based on performance and tenure.

Schedule: Typical dispatch times are between 12 AM and 2 AM

The Role: You will be primarily responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of produce to customers throughout the Portland Metro area.

Essential Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

• Accurately check invoices as you make deliveries
• Load and unload product from trailer with electric pallet jack
• Attention to detail in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
• Perform superior customer service as you interact with customers at each delivery
• Assist in issuing credit memos and collecting payment for COD customers
• Promote and maintain a flexible, cooperative, team-oriented, and customer-focused attitude with colleagues
• Professionally maintained, reliable and safe equipment
• Palletized product is delivered to a dock or with a lift gate
• All other duties as requested or assigned

Required Skills & Experience:

• Candidates must have at least one (1) full year of verifiable experience operatinga Class A vehicle for insurance purposes
• Must be at least 23 years of age for insurance purposes
• Valid Class A CDL and medical card
• Interstate qualification, registered
• Demonstrated ability to lift/push/pull 50+ lbs. throughout shift
• Per DOT rules, applicant should have the ability to read and understand English
• Satisfactory driving record
